Brainstorming music video ideas

Budget

The budget of our music video will be £150 because the camera costs £129 and the tripod costs £21 these are the only things we need.

Equipment

The equipment me and anthony need is a camera to record our video and a tripod to put the camera on to keep it balanced.

Evaluation

1.We worked well in our group we all had our jobs to do and we did them without arguing or complaining about it.  for example we did not argue about choosing locations we took our time choosing them without arguing.

2. The difficulties that we had making our music were that we could not find a girl to sing the girls part of our song we overcame this difficulty by asking around and eventually we found girl to play the part. another difficulty we had was that we could not choose locations and stick to them because we kept changing our minds. we overcame this difficulty by having sir's help.

3. Our music video uses forms of conventions of real media products because our song is a r&b song and we filmed in an ally way which has graffiti and stuff like that to match the image of the song and most music videos that are r&b type are filmed in ally ways because it suits the r&b image and goes very well with the music.


4. From our audience feedback we have received over 100 views so far which is good because we   thought that we would get much less than that. also we have to likes so far which shows that our audience likes our music video.


5 We used adobe premier pro which we used to construct our music video. we also used a video camera to film our music video.

Convention of a narrative music video

The music video i analysed is called "we found love" which is made by Rihanna this music video used a lot of different shots which were used to tell the story in the video which is about partying, love, having fun and doing bad things. the music video tells it story through editing because each shot or scene in the video is no more than 2 seconds long which shows that the video cut up.

This music video has used a lot of locations to tell the story, the music video consists of at least ten locations. these are some of the many locations used in the video.

There are a lot of different camera shots used in the music video such as close ups, over the shoulder shot,  medium close up long shot, extreme close up and many more. they have used these camera shots to add to the quick editing used in the video to tell the story line. they are used to help emphasise the storyline in the video.

They also use a green screen in this music video to project an image of a burning house. this is because it shows that the relationship between Rihanna and the boy in the video is burning, crumbling and breaking up. also they used the green screen because of health and safety reasons and also because of the budget they probably could not afford to go buy a house and burn it. Also they use the green screen to add special effects such as lightning and clouds
