Dancing is a code and convention of music videos because it happens over and over again it is a recurring code and convention it appears in almost every music video. examples of music videos which have dancing in them are jason Derulos "it girl", ushers "OMG" , Ne-Yo "beautiful monster". almost every music artist has dancing in there videos.

narrative is a code and convention of music videos because most music videos tell a story about what is going on? and what is happening?. this is also a recurring code and convention because it is seen over and over again in pretty much every music video. an example of a narrative music video is ushers "confessions part 2", adele's "someone like you", beyonces "if i were a boy."

Performing is a code and convention of music videos because a lot of videos have an artist performing and dancing to his\her song. performance video is a code and convention because it is seen in most music videos. An example of a performance video is pit bull's song "give me everything tonight". Ushers DJ'S got us falling in love again, jason derulos "don.t wanna go home".

Image is a code and convention of music video because the way a certain artists dresses represents the genre of there music video or the location or setting that also represents the genre of there music video. for example an artist is making an r&b and grime type song the setting would be likely to be a ally way and the clothes that what be worn would be a tracksuit, trainers and a hat which would fit in well with the image of the song.

Camera shots are code and convention in music videos because they are used over and over again in every music video. This is to make the music video interesting to watch and all these shots emphasise the artist, location and setting.
